टोंगा ट्रुबी
एक नारियल खुरचनी
टोंगा ट्रुबी एक घरेलू औजार है जिसका उपयोग नारियल को खुरचने के लिए किया जाता है। इसके दो भाग हैं, एक लकड़ी का आधार और एक लोहे का ब्लेड। लकड़ी के एकल टुकड़े पर उकेरे गए आधार के एक सिरे पर बैठने की सुविधा के साथ दूसरे सिरे पर खुरच कर निकाले गए नारियल को इकट्ठा करने के लिए एक कटोरा है। खुरचनी को इस तरह से बनाया गया है कि नारियल के खुरचन लकड़ी के कटोरे में गिरते हैं। खुरचनी दांतेदार किनारों के साथ सर्पिल आकार की है, जबकि भारी आधार इसे स्थिरता प्रदान करता है। इसकी रूपरेखा इस प्रकार की है कि यह कठोर खोल से नारियल निकालने के कार्य को आसान बनाती है। खुरचने के कार्य के दौरान उपयोगकर्ता लकड़ी के आधार पर बैठता है जिसे ‘पीता’ के नाम से जाना जाता है और नारियल के कठोर खोल वाले हिस्से को पकड़कर खुरचनी पर घुमाता है, इस तरह धातु के दांतों का उपयोग करके ताजे सफेद नारियल को आसानी से भूरे परत वाले नारियल के खोल से हटा दिया जाता है। नारियल को कद्दूकस करके नारियल का दूध निकाला जा सकता है, मिठाई बनाई जा सकती है, चटनी और करी का आनंद लिया जा सकता है। इसका उपयोग कई प्रकार के व्यंजन तैयार करने के लिए किया जा सकता है।

A Coconut Scraper
The Tonga Trubi is a household tool used for scraping coconuts. The scraper is composed of two parts, a wooden base, and an iron blade. A wooden base with a sitting arrangement on one end and a bowl scooped out of the same wood for collecting scraped coconut is carved out of a single block of wood. The scraper is positioned in such a way that coconut scrapings fall into the wooden bowl. The scrapping end is serpent-shaped with denticulated edges, while the heavy base provides stability. Scrapers are designed to ease the task of extracting coconut from a hard shell. In the process of scrapping, the operator sits on the wooden base known as ‘Peeta’ and rotates the grater disk while holding a section of coconut from the hard shell. The grating action removes the fresh white coconut directly from the brown and crusty coconut shell utilizing metal teeth. As a result of coconut grating, coconut milk can be extracted, sweets can be prepared, and chutneys and curries can be enjoyed. It can be used to prepare a wide range of dishes.
