थिस्की
थिस्की अर्थात खड़ताल मंडला की बैगा जनजाति द्वारा उपयोग किया जाने वाला एक काष्ठ निर्मित वाद्ययंत्र है। इसमें लकड़ी से बनी चार वृताकार प्लेटें हैं जिनके मध्य में क्षिद्र है। एक यू-आकार के बांस के हत्थे में समान व्यास की दो प्लेटों को एक हत्थे वाली प्लेट के साथ डाला गया है। बांस के हत्थे के अंतिम सिरों को मोटा या मुड़ा हुआ रखा गया है ताकि बजाते समय खड़ताल को गिरने से बचाया जा सके। बैगा द्वारा किए जाने वाले विभिन्न नृत्यों में थिस्की का उपयोग ताल वाद्यों के साथ किया जाता है। महिलाएं करमा नृत्य के संचालन के लिए लयबद्ध ध्वनि उत्पन्न करने के लिए इसका उपयोग करती हैं। इसे बजाने के लिए सपाट लकड़ी के टुकड़े को ऊपर की ओर खींचा व छोड़ा जाता है जिससे यह नीचे की गोलाकार प्लेटों से टकराकर वांछित ध्वनि उत्पन्न करता है। बैगा समुदाय द्वारा अपने इस वाद्ययंत्र को मुख्य रूप से सरई के पेड़ की लकड़ी से बनाया जाता है।

Thiski
Thiski is a wooden clapper used as a musical instrument by the Baiga tribe of Mandla. It has four circular wooden plates with a hole in the middle. In the U-shaped bamboo handle, two wooden plates of equal diameter are inserted along with a shafted plate. The ends of the bamboo handle are kept thicker or twisted to prevent these clappers to fall when it is played in an inverted position. Thiski is used as an accompaniment to percussion music for various dances performed by the Baiga. In karma dance, women use this clapper to produce a rhythmic sound to guide their performance. While playing, the flat wooden piece is pulled up and released, clashing with the circular wooden plates below to create the desired sound. The instrument is native to the Baiga and they prefer to make it from wood from the Sarai tree.
