भगवान गणेश
लघु चित्रकारी
इस राजस्थानी लघु चित्र में सौभाग्य के देवता भगवान गणेश को नृत्य मुद्रा में दर्शाया गया है। उनकी दिव्यता और पराक्रम को चार हाथों के साथ चित्रित किया गया है। ऊपरी दाएं और बाएं हाथ में वह क्रमशः एक अंकुश और एक शंख पकड़े हुए हैं तथा निचले हाथ नृत्य मुद्रा में हैं। उनके पैरों के सामने बैठे एक छोटेे चूहे को आकर्षक ढंग से दर्शाया गया है। राजस्थानी लघुचित्रों को गिलहरी के बालों वाले ब्रश से खनिजों, वनस्पतियों, कीमती पत्थरों से बने प्राकृतिक रंगों का उपयोग करके हस्तनिर्मित कागज पर चित्रित किया जाता है। विषय अधिकतर कृष्ण लीला, धार्मिक उपदेश, रामायण और महाभारत महाकाव्य, ऋतु चित्र आदि पर आधारित होते हैं। इस हस्तनिर्मित रंगीन चित्र में ब्रश से किया गया बारीक काम चित्रकार की व्यक्तिगत पहचान बताता है।

Miniature painting
This Rajasthani miniature painting depicts Lord Ganesh, the deity of good fortune in a dancing posture. His divinity and prowess is portrayed with four hands holding a pasha (noose) and a conch shell in the upper right and left hand respectively. The lower hands are in dancing mudras. A little mouse sitting in front of his legs is elegantly illustrated. Rajasthani miniatures are painted on handmade paper using natural colours made from minerals, vegetables, precious stones and using a squirrel-hair brush. The themes largely includes Krishna Leela, religious preachings, the great epics of Ramayana and Mahabharata, Ritu Chitra etc. This colourful handmade painting elaborates the delicate brush work and individual identity of the painter.
