वारली चित्रकला
एक अनूठी वारली जनजाति चित्रकला
वारली पेंटिंग महाराष्ट्र की वारली जनजाति द्वारा बनाई जाने वाली एक अनूठी चित्रकला है। इसकी विशिष्टता प्रागैतिहासिक काल के गुफा चित्रों से इसकी समानता में निहित है। ये पेंटिंग पारंपरिक रूप से मिट्टी और गाय के गोबर से पुते घर की दीवारों पर चावल के पेस्ट से कर्वी के तिनकों से सुहासिनियों (विवाहित महिलाओं) द्वारा बनाई जाती हैं। इस सामूहिक गतिविधि में दो से लेकर 10 तक महिलाओं की सहभागिता होती है। यह पेंटिंग वर वधु के कमरे में की जाती है, जिसमें उन्हें बुरी आत्माओं से बचाने, उनकी प्रजनन क्षमता सुनिश्चित करने और उनकी रचनात्मक क्षमताओं को बढ़ाने के लिए बनाए गए देव चौक या चौकट को दर्शाया गया है। वारली लोगों में विवाह के लिए चौक की चित्रकारी अनिवार्य होती है। चौक के साथ इसमें वादकों, मवेशियों , नृत्य करती महिलाओं, वनस्पतियों, जीवों आदि जैसे सामाजिक दृश्यों का भी चित्रण है। पेंटिंग के ऊपरी हिस्से पर यात्रियों से भरी एक ट्रेन को दर्शाया गया है जो उनके सामाजिक-सांस्कृतिक और आर्थिक जीवन पर आधुनिकीकरण के प्रभाव को उजागर करता है।

WARLI PAINTING
A unique art form of painting by Warli tribe
Warli painting is a unique art in the form of painting made by the Warli tribe of Maharashtra. Its uniqueness lies in its resemblance with cave paintings of the prehistoric period. These paintings are traditionally painted with whole rice paste on the house walls made up of Karvi sticks on which clay and cow-dung are smeared. These paintings are made only by Suhasinis (married women). It is a collective activity of 2 to 10 women. The painting is done in the brides and groom’s room. The painting depicts Dev Chowk or Choukat drawn for protecting the bride and the groom from the evil spirit, for ensuring their fertility and also for enhancing their pro-creative abilities. Among the warlis, no marriage can take place without painting the chowk. Besides the chowk, there are depictions of social scenes like musicians playing music, cattle herd, dancing women, flora, fauna, etc. On the top of the painting a train with passengers is depicted which highlights the impact of modernization on the socio-cultural and economic life of the warlis.
