महा लक्ष्मी झूला
देवी लक्ष्मी की झूले वाले सिंहासन
दीपकों को आलोकित करना शुभ का प्रतीक है और ऐसी मान्यता है कि यह हमारे चारों ओर समृद्धि, कल्याण और सकारात्मकता लाता है। दीपावली प्रकाश का त्योहार है, जिसमे देवी लक्ष्मी की आराधना की जाती है। महालक्ष्मी झूला पीतल से निर्मित देवी लक्ष्मी की प्रतिमा है, जो झूले वाले सिंहासन पर विराजमान है, जिसे मोर के आकार के सजावटी मेहराब से एक चेन की मदद से लटकाया गया है। पीतल से निर्मित महिलाओं को हाथों में दीपक लिए दोनों तरफ औपचारिक सज्जा में खड़े हाथियों के ऊपर दर्शाया गया हैैं। पीतल से निर्मित धन की देवी महालक्ष्मी समृद्धि, संपदा और उर्वरता का प्रतीक है जिसे वह सम्पूर्ण विश्व में फैलाती हैं।

A swing throne of Goddess Lakshmi
Lighting lamps is considered to be extremely auspicious and it is believed to bring prosperity, welfare and positivity in and around us. Deepawali is the festival of light, during this festival goddess Laxmi is worshiped. Maha Laxmi Jhula is a brass made representation of goddess Laxmi sitting on a throned swing which is hanged with the help of a chain from a foliated arch fashioned in the form of peacocks. Two brass made ladies are shown standing on elephants on both sides, holding lamps on their hands and both the elephants in ceremonial finery form the stand. The brass made Maha Laxmi, goddess of wealth symbolizes the prosperity, wealth and fertility that she spreads over the world.

विवाह के समय उपयोग में लाया जाने वाला एक कटोरा
आयशेन/चैसेन, विशेष रूप से बारात के समय उपयोग किया जाने वाला एक कटोरा है। वर पक्ष के पुरुष वर कई किसी भी प्रकार की चयापचय संबंधी आपात स्थिति से हर संभव देखभाल करने के लिए अपने साथ यह कटोरा रखते हैं। आम धारणा है कि आययेशेन/चैसेन बारात की शुभता का प्रतीक है। जब कोई अन्य बारात रास्ते में विपरीत दिशा से गुजरती है, तो वर की देखभाल करने वाले व्यक्ति द्वारा इस कटोरे में सुपारी और पान रखकर आदान-प्रदान अवश्य किया जाता है। यह बारात के सफलतापूर्वक पहुंचने तथा दोनों पक्षों में एक दूसरे के पति विश्वास लाने के लिए किया जाता है। मणिपुर में धातु शिल्प को मैतेई राजाओं के संरक्षण में मैतेई समुदाय के कुछ वंशों द्वारा विशेषज्ञता प्राप्त है।

AYEISHEN/CHAISEN
A bowl used in the marriage possession.
AYEISHEN/CHAISEN is a bowl specifically used during the marriage procession to visit bride’s residence. During the procession, the groom’s male will held the bowl to take every possible care of the groom from any kind of metabolic emergencies. There is a general belief that AYEISHEN/CHAISEN marks the auspicious conduct of marriage procession. When any other marriage procession crosses oppositely on the way, there must be an exchange of betel nut and leaf by carrying on this bowl by the groom’s caretaker. This is performed with a belief to instill auspiciousness to both the parties for a successful marriage procession. In Manipur the metal craft is specialized by some lineages of the Meitei community under the patronage of the Meitei kings.
